Kendall Jenner was one of the presenters at the Billboard Music Awards on May 18th and the eighteen year old couldn't seem to get through her couple of lines. Jenner was supposed to introduce the Australian band, Five Seconds of Summer, but never got that far into the introduction. She started to introduce, One Direction. Then, Kendall flubbed and declared to the audience, "Guys, I'm the worst reader." In her defense, she is a model. So, talking isn't a requirement for Kendall's job.
The Kendall flub has been the most talked about moment from the Billboards Music Awards and there has been no shortage of jokes on the incident. Comedian and late night host, Jimmy Kimmel, called the mishap, "...the second most embarrassing thing a Kardashian has done on camera." He also noted that Jenner's declaration is "especially entertaining" since Kendall and sister, Kylie, "...supposedly co-wrote a novel." Kendall took to Twitter after the Billboard Music Awards tweeting, "Annddd as if I wasn't nervous already!!! #NeverLeavinMyContactsAtHomeAgain! #LOL #LessonLearned"
Kendall Jenner is not the first celebrity to mess up her lines and she won't be the last. At the Oscar's last year, John Travolta introduced Disney's Frozen star 'Idina Menzel' as 'Adele Dazeem' - close enough. In 2011, at the Golden Globe awards, Sofia Vergara presented the nominations for the 'Best Director' award. Vergara pronounced 'Martin Scorsese' as 'Marteena Scorsays.' At the 2009 Golden Globes, Cameron Diaz read off the nominees for 'Best Actress in a Motion Picture' award and pronounced, 'Angelina' as 'Ange-gee.'
So, there's no need to worry, Kendall. It happens to everyone and soon everyone will forget about it. The young model and reality star seems to have already gotten over the mishap. Jenner celebrated reaching 10,000,000 Instagram followers yesterday. Kendall posted the following video to her Instagram as a thank you to her fans and followers.
